What You Should Know

Before You Arrive

Before You Arrive

  1. Please avoid shaving on the same day as your float. Epsom salts in the water may cause slight irritation to recently shaven skin.
  2. It might be tricky, but avoid that grande latte before your float. Caffeine is a stimulant, which is counteractive to relaxation.
  3. You do not need to avoid eating or drinking before your float; however, floats last up to and over one hour. If you’re full or need to dash out for a bathroom break, your relaxation experience could be affected.
  4. We recommend guests with recently coloured hair or highlights avoid floating until roughly one week or more after treatment. Dyes can (in some cases) bleed out or fade from the heavy concentration of Epsom salts. Please consult your hair stylist before floating.

Arrival and Orientation

Arrival and Orientation

If you are arriving for your first float session at Immerse Spa, please arrive approximately 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. Our helpful staff will give you a quick orientation about the floating procedure and answer any questions you may have. Upon return visits to Immerse Spa, you only need to arrive five minutes before your appointment.

Oxygen Bar (optional add-on)

Oxygen Bar (optional add-on)

If you have chosen to enhance your float experience with an Oxygen Bar session, we recommend you do so after your float. Many clients feel the combination of floating and our Oxygen Bar creates a synergistic effect that enhances their overall experience. It will wake you up and rejuvenate you.

Before You Float

Before You Float

  1. Please enter your own private room, remove all clothing and jewelry, and take a shower. You can choose to insert your provided ear plugs before or after your shower, but they are highly recommended before entering the float room.
  2. After you have finished your shower, open the door to your float room and slowly enter. Since our float rooms are 100 per cent private, you have the option of wearing a bathing suit or not.
  3. Once inside the float room, grasp the side rail, and slowly lower your body into the water in a lying position. You will notice you are floating — this is due to the high concentration of Epsom salts.
  4. Position yourself in the centre of the water and ensure your arms and legs are comfortable.
  5. If you wish, you can turn off the underwater lights or leave them on. Light controls are conveniently located inside the float room. Take a deep breath, slowly exhale, and focus on relaxing all of your muscles starting at the neck. Allow the water to support your bodyweight and begin your journey into deep relaxation.

Post-Float

Post-Float

As your session reaches its conclusion, tranquil music will begin to play. To exit the float room, first turn on the light and grab hold of the side support bar. Slowly stand and exit the float room into your private suite. Use the shower to rinse off any Epsom salt water from your skin and hair. If desired, we have a vanity room with access to large mirrors, hair dryers, and other helpful post-float products.
